In either a motorized or manual operation, the 4” louvers include the only louver cover with gasketed seals, which when closed make the tightest seal in the industry creating a very water-resistant solid roof cover.
The 4” louvers can be partially opened to any angle, allowing as much or little light in as you desire, all while allowing upward movement of cooler air flowing through the openings in the louver roof cover. This can keep the patio space below the Solara cover 10 to 15 degrees cooler than a traditional solid patio cover.
Solara louvered roof system can be mounted on an exterior wall or located on your roof with stanchions. Roof mounting is perfect for single story installations, your gutters and roofing all stay in place while giving you a higher volume space under the cover. We can adjust the roof cover at any angle with a multitude of support frames available.
Unlike other covers, like Equinox or StruXure which have end mount pins to support the louver, Solara’s louvers are support by mechanism rafters. These rafters support the louver equally along the span of the louver allowing very little deflection in the louver under heavy loads, like a wet snowstorm.

Our competitors louvers are supported at the louver ends with pins, which have no intermittent support of the louver, allowing deflection of the louver, causing sagging and leaking under loading.
